I’m an artist!

Would you believe me if I said that this photo of mine was on display in an art gallery in Paris?

Sacred Cafe

Well, see for yourself! A kind Parisian took it upon themselves to take a picture of my picture and let me know!

I entered the photo as part of the 24 Hours of Flickr project, on May 5th this year. The best pictures submitted were to be chosen by Flickr staff and published in a book. My photo wasn’t chosen for the book unfortunately, but at the various launch events for the book, all the other photos were put on display.

I’d like to thank my Mum and Dad for always believing in me, Fiona for letting me use her camera cos mines is rubbish, and to my lovely subject, for not catching me taking a picture of her.

Klopfgeist

Started learning Logic tonight at college. Logic is a software package for sequencing, arranging and editing music. While ProTools is more focussed on recording and editing “real” music and bands, Logic gives you the ability to take a few sampled instruments and create a professional sounding piece of pop/dance music in (literally) about two minutes. Not really my cup of tea I think you’ll agree, all along we thought Simon Cowell was to blame for the rise of the manufactured pop industry - but the real culprit is software like this!

The most interesting part of the lecture was the metronome feature in Logic, interestingly labeled ‘Klopfgeist’ , which , according to my esteemed German-speaking classmate, means “The Knocking Ghost”.
